WHAT IS FACILITY MANAGEMENT

Facilities Management is a profession that encompasses multiple disciplines to ensure functionablility of the built environment by integrating people, place, process and technology . More specifically, FM can be defined as a management of premises and services required to accommodate and support core business activities of the client organizations.

•  The Facilities Management consultants are charged with the responsibility to balance the requirements of all stakeholders to ensure that a sustainable outsourcing relationship is maintained as demonstrated in figure 1 below:

•  Planning, carrying through and management

•  Advices on needs, cost, and expected results

•  Develop tools for measuring performance (KPI)

•  Develop and document a preliminary “OMSAG” statement
