WHAT IS FACILITY MANAGEMENT
Facilities Management is a profession that encompasses multiple disciplines to ensure functionablility of the built environment by integrating people, place, process and technology . More specifically, FM can be defined as a management of premises and services required to accommodate and support core business activities of the client organizations.
The Facilities Management consultants are charged with the responsibility to balance the requirements of all stakeholders to ensure that a sustainable outsourcing relationship is maintained as demonstrated in figure 1 below:
Planning, carrying through and management
Advices on needs, cost, and expected results
Develop tools for measuring performance (KPI)
Develop and document a preliminary “OMSAG” statement
